Correcting the Course prepares sergeants, lieutenants, command-level leaders, and civilian supervisors to identify performance, attitude, and conduct issues early – and intervene before they become liability, morale problems, or disciplinary cases. This course can be paired with the Contemporary Supervision course – both courses include the latest behavior-science research to address these issues. The course also helps employees understand these issues and begin meaningful, career‑sustaining change.

Grounded in DOJ, IACP, NIJ, PERF, COPS, and CALEA / SHRM guidance, this program gives supervisors and employees practical tools for diagnosing root causes, conducting difficult conversations, applying coaching and corrective strategies, and documenting actions clearly and defensibly. Participants learn to balance support with accountability, reinforce standards consistently, and build a culture where expectations are clear, wellness is supported, and misconduct is addressed promptly and fairly.
